Arup
Strategy to consolidate and virtualise as part of a server infrastructure refresh. The solution will consolidate and reduce physical servers, increase server availability, reduce TCO's and improve the DR/BCP recovery time for ARUP.
Breville
Server consolidation using VMware ESX Server and the upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT and Exchange 5.5 to Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange 2003, completed in 2007. Disaster Recovery site solution completed in June 2008.
Port Stephens Council
The VMware design for Port Stephens Council utilised their existing SAN technology to reduce costs and was based on a 3 node VMware cluster to provide capacity for growth and also to ensure that there were sufficient resources available to allow for continued operation in the event that one of the hosts suffered a hardware failure.
Standards Australia
Starcom was engaged by Standards Australia for their Infrastructure Migration Project to their new offices encompassing design, proof of concept, project management, migration/deployment, skills transfer and documentation.
The Department of Lands, NSW
The New South Wales Department of Lands was facing a number of regulatory audits, so it chose a BindView solution from Starcom and Symantec. The department has demonstrated compliance, including achievement of ISO 17799 certification in March 2005. The BindView solution from Starcom and Symantec also helps the department maintain its compliance posture, and saves time in the process - the equivalent of a full-time employee in the first six months.
